The Executive Team Leader HR is a key leadership role focused on championing change, proactively removing roadblocks, and building diverse and inclusive talent strategies to support Target's guest-centric mission. This role involves leading a team of HR Experts and Team Leaders, supporting store teams and leaders, and acting as a consultant to peers. A significant portion of time is spent on the sales floor, observing and influencing business operations. The role offers opportunities to gain experience in HR strategy, financial reporting, employment law, talent management, and business coaching. As an Executive Team Leader Human Resources, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include leading and creating a service culture, demonstrating a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, driving total store sales, planning and leading organizational change, assessing the competition, championing a positive work culture, building teams committed to continuous learning, supporting leadership in fostering inclusivity, engaging teams in community initiatives, building community relationships, developing leaders, leading an open-door culture, supporting leadership with scheduling, decreasing schedule fluctuations, guiding leaders in hiring and onboarding, developing HR Experts and Team Leaders, managing operational programs, developing team leaders, establishing accountability, providing guest service, demonstrating ethical conduct, and addressing store needs.
