About The Position

Sodexo is seeking an Executive Sous Chef for Ingleside at Rock Creek in Washington, DC. This upscale continuing care retirement community is located on 14-wooded and landscaped acres bordering Washington, DC's beautiful Rock Creek Park. Ideal candidate will have previous cooking and catering experience in either a restaurant, corporate or senior living setting. Ability to work a flexible hours, with a schedule of 11 am - 8 pm preferred.

Requirements

  • Previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively
  • Food production experience with a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance
  • Demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
  • Proficient in computer skills
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience

Nice To Haves

  • Previous cooking and catering experience in either a restaurant, corporate or senior living setting

Responsibilities

  • Have oversight of food production
  • Work collaboratively with the Executive Chef
  • Be hands-on, will cook daily (80%)
  • Train and mentor cooks
  • Deliver high quality food service while maintaining client and resident relationships
  • Ensure Sodexo Standards are met
