The Specialist, Executive Protection Services, operates with integrity and exceptional discretion. Works with moderate supervision, researches, assesses and assists with reports and advisories on security risks to senior executives. Reports credible awareness of potentially imminent security situations, sensitive developments and complex threat issues. Identifies, reports to supervise emerging security threats and trends impacting other Fortune 500 executives and monitors as directed. Keeps abreast of changing domestic and geopolitical events which could impact stability and operations. Assists management in the creation of briefs on protective intelligence issues for senior management. Assist in conducting research into various reference archives and databases to extract information contributing to threat and risk analysis or due diligence of background investigations. Establishes and maintains liaison throughout appropriate company functional entities and external counterparts. The ideal candidate will have experience in protective service operations in support of the senior executives, their families, and visiting VIPs. Contributes to protective programs to include personal protection, corporate and residential environments, event security; ground and air transportation, and special projects. Contributes to a standard of measurement in quality and effectiveness as it relates to protective services. Monitors the installation and operational instruction of security equipment in sensitive environments. Participates in skillset development opportunities, assessments, and training.

Requirements

Associates Degree or Military experience
At least two years experience as an executive protection or personal protective specialist
Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA) HR218 credentials

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree
2+ years experience in the corporate sector as an Executive Protection or Personal Protective Specialist
2+ years experience in protective intelligence, physical security, emergency response, as well as security protocol implementation
2+ years of experience in private sector client-service role
Advanced level training in medical emergencies, defensive tactics, evasive defensive driver training, and tactical firearms
Previous estate security experience, including a working knowledge of the integration residential alarm and surveillance systems, access control
CPR, AED and Basic First Aid Certification
Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) permit
Personal Protective Services (PPS) registration

Responsibilities

Provide a safe and protective environment for senior executives of the company and other VIP’s visiting the executive suite
Remain ready to provide safe, defensive driving for executives to and from work, business meetings and special events
Conduct advance special event surveys in preparation for executive travel
Assist with executive and dignitary security at special events
Provide executive protection and logistics support, as needed
Serve as primary center point for disseminating accurate information regarding security-related incidents which may occur while in the field
Coordinate contingency plans and emergency medical response for security incidents while in the field
Under the direction of the Executive Protection Manager, implement security and access control procedures of appropriate senior executive residences or temporary meeting locations to ensure safety
Make recommendations for the improvement of security measures as it relates to areas in and/or around executive environments
Assist senior executives of the company with low- to mid-level concerns, including but not limited to scheduling and property management to add convenience and bolster privacy
Assist in the identification and assessment of potential security threats in locations of interest, providing situations and timely information to aid decisions on security postures
Possess a ‘customer service’ acumen
Ability to work independently and to adapt to various work spaces while always maintaining a high-level of attentiveness, energy and professionalism
Maintain physical readiness to respond to security incidents or hazard at all times
Maintain the ability to stand for several hours in support of protective coverage
