About The Position

The Executive Protection Agent is armed and responsible for ensuring the safety and security of healthcare executives. This role involves planning and executing security measures to protect healthcare executives from potential threats and harm. This position is highly specialized and requires firearms training and certifications.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License in state of practice.
  • Valid LEOSA credential.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in law enforcement, military or a related field.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills.
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to react quickly in high-stress situations.
  • Demonstrated basic computer skills: word processing, spreadsheet, web-based applications, risk assessment platforms/software.
  • Firearms instructor certification within 6 months.
  • Acquire certifications in executive protection, and other relevant areas within 6 months.
  • Basic Life Support certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
  • Obtain and maintain required licensing for private security officers within 3 months.
  • Obtain and maintain all other applicable licenses and certifications required to carry a firearm in this role.
  • Must own or obtain approved firearm.
  • Ability to travel, occasionally overnight.

Responsibilities

  • Provides a safe and secure environment for senior executives and family members
  • Conducts thorough risk and threat assessments for healthcare executives.
  • Develops and implements detailed protection plans based on identified risks.
  • Performs advance site visits to assess potential security risks and plan evacuation routes.
  • Accompanies healthcare executives to public events, meetings, and during travel to ensure their safety.
  • Responds quickly and appropriately to provide protection during threats or dangerous situations.
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality regarding the healthcare executive’s personal and professional life.
  • Works closely with other security staff, local law enforcement, and security agencies.
  • Monitors and operates security systems and risk assessment tools, including alarms, closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems, and access controls.
  • Provides first-aid or medical assistance to the healthcare executive when necessary.
  • Regularly trains and stay updated with the latest executive protection protocols and threat response procedures.
  • Reports any security breaches or potential threats to the healthcare executive and security management immediately.
  • Develops and brief event security plans to executives and support staff.
  • Provides recommendations to enhance protective services and security measures.
  • Assists in creating intelligence and briefs for senior management on emerging threats and trends.
  • Assists with administrative and operational support to enhance executive privacy and convenience.
  • Supplements firearms safety and training/instruction as needed.
  • May travel with executives, occasionally overnight and provide protection outside of assigned shift
