About The Position
ABC4 News (ABC4/CW30) is seeking a smart, energetic, and innovative Executive Producer to join their newsroom. This role is responsible for news coverage across all media platforms during the early morning and morning hours for both ABC4 and CW30.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications/TV-Film, or equivalent experience in a related field
- At least 1 year of experience in television or radio broadcast/production
- Must be able to interact with anchors, producers, reporters, photographers, engineering, and news managers
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Detail-oriented
- Strong news judgment, journalistic integrity, and understanding of viewer/reader expectations
- Must understand state-of-the-art television and digital technology

- Digital experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Supervises morning and midday newscasts Monday-Friday
- Works with and mentors morning producers
- Sets direction for content coverage
- Manages the newsroom during the morning hours and is responsible for breaking news coverage
- Executes strategies to engage and grow audiences across all media devices
- Supervises the Integrated Media Center during the early morning hours
- Plans and executes teases and marketing elements for the morning newscasts
- Hires producers for the morning newscasts
- Handles any necessary disciplinary actions
- Files FCC reports
