Provide strategic direction related to the development of fundraising initiatives, including Sutter Health’s comprehensive campaign. Leverage business acumen and exceptional leadership skills to help build innovative solutions to complex healthcare problems in collaboration with multiple stakeholders from senior management, boards, and volunteers to those providing direct patient care and services. Lead the evaluation of new market and multi-market campaigns in partnership with senior leaders, physicians, and service line executives and facilitate the development of system initiatives, service lines, and regional market priorities to effectively engage donors in support of those campaigns. Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze problems and issues from a variety of perspectives to understand the legal, clinical, and human resource impact of decisions and build consensus to foster collaboration at all levels of the organization for the development of compelling fundraising campaigns that are aligned with Sutter Health's long-term goals. Play a key role in the organization's ability to successfully achieve its donor engagement and fundraising objectives and implement innovations in fundraising practice that can ensure efficiency and improved return on investment (ROI). The position works closely with philanthropy leadership, administrators, and leading clinicians across Sutter Health, applying broad industry knowledge and experience to identify and translate new ideas into compelling fundraising campaigns. The position is responsible for ensuring the development of compelling, consistently high-quality products aligned with current and prospective donors and Sutter Health's broader communications objectives and guided by best practices in the fields of philanthropy.
