About The Position

Gartner is seeking an Executive Partner for its Chief Audit Executive (CAE) team. This role involves serving as a trusted advisor to Chief Audit Executives across various industries, helping them navigate the challenges of a rapidly evolving risk environment and align audit priorities with organizational objectives. The Executive Partner will deliver solutions for critical audit and oversight challenges, support strategy development, advise on department productivity and technology use (including AI), and assist in increasing the audit function's impact on the business. Clients will also seek guidance on working with the Audit Committee, Board, CEO, and management team, communicating the audit function's value, and establishing governance processes. The role also involves providing assurance over emerging risks and supporting the Audit Committee's oversight function. Executive Partners act as accountability partners, leveraging Gartner's research and their expertise to support clients' initiatives, priorities, and strategies.

Requirements

  • Accomplished Chief Audit Executive, working with the C-suite, Audit Committee, Board of Directors, and stakeholders.
  • Operated at a senior leadership level and driven change at all levels.
  • Deep experience working as a CAE (or the highest audit role within an organization).
  • At least 15+ years of experience in areas critical to leading an audit function.
  • In-depth understanding of the Audit function and other adjacent functions (e.g., Compliance, Legal & Risk).
  • Technologically savvy; leverage AI and other tools to work quickly, including completing administrative tasks.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) to adapt materials and draft client-ready documents.
  • Critical thinker and problem solver, with the ability to assess client situations and provide actionable, outcome-based advice.
  • Ability to leverage appropriate Gartner resources to help clients achieve results.
  • Ability to build strategic internal partnerships and positively impact change.
  • High level of executive presence and ability to quickly build trust and deliver value.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive advisory services to CAE members across all industries and business models.
  • Synthesize Gartner insights and data to deliver advisory support through ongoing bi-weekly client engagement and periodic client working sessions.
  • Adapt materials for client use and operate independently.
  • Host, facilitate, and/or participate in periodic client activities, including working sessions, peer roundtables, sessions and client meetings at the annual conference, and virtual webinars.
  • Define and deliver innovative solutions by assessing client needs and developing a customized value plan.
  • Facilitate member interaction and peer collaboration through the Gartner for Audit member community portal and assisted member connections.
  • Collaborate with Client Support Professionals and Account Executives.
  • Participate in all phases of the client lifecycle: pre-sale, on-boarding, relationship management, delivery, review, and renewal.
  • Partner with Business and Technology Insights (BTI) Analysts to identify potential gaps in material relevant to clients.
  • Provide sales enablement by working with sales teams to articulate the value of the Guided Product, build their confidence in selling to C-suite prospects, and create Value Stories.
  • Partner with sales on account planning/development activities and participate in proof-of-concept (POC) engagements with prospective clients.
