About The Position

At the Battle House Renaissance Mobile Hotel & Spa and Renaissance Mobile Riverview Plaza Hotel, we host everything from executive retreats and association conferences to elegant galas, corporate meetings, and citywide events. Our success is built on creating exceptional experiences for our clients long before the first guest arrives and long after the event concludes. We are seeking a driven, relationship-focused Executive Meeting Manager who thrives on building client partnerships, delivering flawless event experiences, and driving revenue growth through strategic sales and exceptional service. This is more than a sales role. It is an opportunity to represent two of Mobile's premier Marriott hotels, working alongside a talented team to attract and execute high-profile events that shape memorable experiences for guests from around the world. As a key member of our Sales & Events team, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them bring their vision to life while maximizing revenue opportunities and building long-term loyalty.

Requirements

  • Experience in hotel sales, catering sales, event management, group coordination, or meeting planning within a hotel, resort, conference center, or hospitality environment
  • Proven ability to manage multiple groups, deadlines, and priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and customer service
  • Strong communication, organization, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with experience working directly with clients by phone, email, and in person
  • Comfortable working toward sales, revenue, and production goals while identifying opportunities to grow business and enhance profitability
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and capable of learning and maintaining hotel sales and catering systems

Nice To Haves

  • Marriott or other full-service hotel experience
  • Experience with CI/TY, Delphi, Amadeus, or comparable sales and catering platforms
  • Knowledge of group room blocks, banquet operations, BEOs, audiovisual services, F&B minimums, billing, and event logistics
  • Experience conducting site inspections, client presentations, and contract negotiations
  • Familiarity with corporate, association, government, or social group business
  • Existing relationships within the Mobile hospitality, business, or event-planning community

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, secure, and grow business opportunities that drive revenue and market share
  • Build strong relationships with meeting planners, corporate clients, associations, and community partners to generate repeat business and referrals
  • Serve as the primary client contact throughout the event experience, ensuring exceptional service, seamless communication, and outstanding customer satisfaction
  • Partner closely with Event Management, Operations, and Hotel Leadership teams to deliver flawless execution and exceed client expectations
  • Conduct site tours, sales presentations, industry networking, and client engagement activities to showcase our hotels and expand business opportunities
