About The Position

The Executive Lead for Innovation & Strategy is a senior leadership position within the Office of the CEO responsible for helping align and steward WorkMoney’s priority programs and policy initiatives across its multiple entities. This leader partners across teams and leadership to coordinate program design, delivery, evaluation, policy engagement, and strategic planning, serving as a key driver of programmatic impact and organizational priorities. Through a combination of strategic insight, systems thinking, relationship management, and execution leadership, the Senior Advisor helps guide high-priority initiatives, navigate organizational complexity, and strengthen alignment across WorkMoney’s broader ecosystem. This role reports to the Chief of Staff and works in close coordination with the Chief Executive Officer, other Executive Leads, the Executive Director, and WorkMoney’s executive leadership teams.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressively senior experience in program development, public policy, advocacy, strategy, or related fields.
  • Extensive experience partnering closely with executive leaders, senior stakeholders, and boards on high-priority initiatives spanning multiple organizational entities.
  • Proven success designing, scaling, and coordinating complex, multi-audience programs, ideally within consumer-facing, advocacy, membership, or financial services environments.
  • Experience engaging in federal, state, or local policy processes, with the ability to translate strategic goals into actionable programming and organizational priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams while driving accountability and achieving organizational goals.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to move fluidly between program design, policy advocacy, operational execution, and data-informed decision-making.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence senior stakeholders, navigate cross-functional environments, and translate complex ideas into clear action.
  • Collaborative working style with strong relationship-building skills and the ability to operate effectively within a matrixed organization.
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to navigate sensitive or high-stakes situations with integrity and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and collaborate within the Office of the CEO and across WorkMoney entities on strategic planning for programming and priority initiatives requiring cross-functional program engagement, including member engagement, financial empowerment, and advocacy initiatives.
  • Partner closely with the CEO, Executive Director, Chief of Staff, and executive leadership teams to shape and advance WorkMoney’s programmatic and policy priorities across entities.
  • Help design and strengthen organizational approaches to program development, delivery, evaluation, and strategic learning to ensure initiatives are scalable, mission-centered, and impactful.
  • Translate strategic priorities into actionable plans, accountability structures, decision points, and measurable outcomes across enterprise-level initiatives.
  • Provide strategic guidance and thought partnership to programmatic and policy leaders as they navigate complexity, competing priorities, and organizational growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across WorkMoney entities, serving as a connector across programs, policy, advocacy, communications, and external partnerships.
  • Represent WorkMoney’s programmatic vision and strategic priorities with external stakeholders, including partners, funders, advisors, and peer organizations, as appropriate.
  • Support executive leadership in identifying emerging opportunities, risks, and challenges related to programmatic growth, policy engagement, and member impact.
  • Track and communicate program outcomes, member impact metrics, and the overall health of strategic initiatives.
