About The Position

Oversee all functions and areas of housekeeping and laundry to ensure success. This role is crucial in making hotel guests feel at home by maintaining the cleanliness and overall upkeep of the hotel. Key responsibilities include supervising the cleanliness of guest rooms and all hotel areas, selecting, training, and developing team members, providing clear direction for housekeeping and laundry staff, planning and conducting staff meetings, and managing the finances of housekeeping and laundry operations, including budget and inventory controls, while ensuring adequate supplies for efficient department operation.

Requirements

Degree in Hotel Management or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience in housekeeping management, hotel preferred.
Experience in coaching, mentoring, and teambuilding.
Excellent customer service skills.
Problem-solving skills.
Conflict resolution skills.
Must be a people-person as you’ll be interacting with other team members constantly.

Responsibilities

Supervising the cleanliness of guest rooms and all hotel areas including lobbies, public areas, bathrooms, guest floors, and bar/restaurant.
Selecting, training, and developing team members.
Providing clear direction in assigning, scheduling and instructing housekeeping and laundry staff in details of work.
Planning and conducting staff meetings.
Attending various other related meetings to obtain and disseminate pertinent information.
Managing finances of housekeeping and laundry operations including budget and inventory controls while still ensuring there are adequate supplies for the efficient operation of the department.
