About The Position

The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for scheduling, evaluating, and directing all housekeeping associates, including room attendants, houseaides, floor supervisors, and laundry associates. This role involves coaching and counseling associates, providing disciplinary action when necessary, and coordinating daily activities to ensure sufficient staffing for cleaning guest rooms and public areas. The Executive Housekeeper also reviews the Manager on Duty log, follows up on issues, and inspects guest rooms and public areas daily to ensure the quality assurance program is followed. Additionally, this position is responsible for maintaining an adequate inventory of supplies and cleaning materials, supervising the daily operations of both housekeeping and in-house laundry, and conducting interviews, hiring, and training of new housekeeping team members.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a standard office environment.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. (6-8 hours a day)
  • Occasional standing and walking throughout the workday.
  • Frequent fine motor skills, use of hands and fingers for keyboarding/typing, utilizing a mouse or trackpad, writing, and operating office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to lift and/or move 10–25 pounds as needed (e.g., files, office supplies).
