About The Position

The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for the overall cleanliness and friendly service of the entire Hotel, including all guest rooms, public areas, facilities, storage rooms, and guest and house laundry. This role ensures that MCR standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety are met.

Requirements

  • Experience in a hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Must be able to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures.
  • Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and resolving concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests.
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Must have a desire to serve all guests.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be willing to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Arrive and clock in on time for every shift worked and clock out at the scheduled shift ending time, unless otherwise directed.
  • Clock in/out for breaks at the designated time.
  • Provide sufficient notice as directed by supervisor when calling out for a scheduled shift.
  • Regularly required to stand or remain in a stationary position for long periods of time (3-4 hours at a time).
  • Regularly required to type on and operate computers and other office machinery or devices, do 10-key operation and data entry, dial a telephone, manually manipulate objects, handles, tools, and/or controls.
  • Regularly required to bend, stoop, crouch, lift and transport supplies of up to 25 pounds throughout the hotel, and move throughout the hotel and the rooms.
  • Regularly required to inspect and visually observe details at close range (within a few feet) and from long range.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Housekeeping Team, including daily stand-up meetings to review objectives, assign checklists, and ensure deficiencies are rectified and team members are trained and held accountable.
  • Manage room assignments for housekeepers, confirm all rooms are cleaned, inspected, and correctly updated in the Property Management System (PMS).
  • Balance and clear the room status nightly, comparing reports and resolving discrepancies.
  • Maintain the organization and cleanliness of all storage rooms, mechanical rooms, housekeeping closets, and the main housekeeping laundry room.
  • Monitor work orders and submit them to the Engineering department.
  • Manage supply levels by ordering necessary housekeeping and laundry supplies and amenities on a monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly housekeeping inventories.
  • Maintain and monitor "Lost and Found" procedures and policies.
  • Assign supervisor duties daily and verify completion and quality.
  • Monitor the proper use of and compliance with hazardous chemicals according to OSHA standards.
  • Complete daily objectives, including opening the department, assigning housekeeper boards and keys, inspecting guest rooms, and closing the housekeeping department.
