About The Position
DoubleTree Hotel & Suites by the Galleria, located in the upscale Galleria area is looking for an experienced, hands on Executive Housekeeper with strong leadership and organizational skills.
Requirements
- At least four (4) years of previous full-service hotel housekeeping management experience required.
- Flexible to work AM, mid-shift, PM, weekends and holidays
- Must have the ability to communicate in English both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational skills and multitasking abilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively address and resolve employee and guest related issues.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Previous Hilton brand experience highly desired.
Responsibilities
- Hands on management to manage daily operations for housekeeping and laundry.
- Interview, hire, train, and provide open communication and support for all housekeeping and laundry staff.
- Enforce policies and procedures and hold staff accountable when performance expectations are not being met.
- Manage department finances, including budget, inventory and labor.
- Review guest surveys, respond to unfavorable feedback and implement strategic plans to exceed brand cleanliness requirements.
- Inspect building cleanliness including guest rooms, corridors, guest lobby and employee areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met and maintained.
