About The Position

The Global Commodities business, part of the Markets Trading organization within the Commercial & Investment Bank, offers risk management solutions, develops investor products, and facilitates market activities in metals, energy, and agricultural commodities globally. It serves both corporate clients (producers and consumers) and investor clients with tailored solutions and exceptional service. The Business Management team collaborates with senior management to guide business strategy, manage risks, address regulatory and control initiatives, optimize performance, and coordinate business development. The team is situated on the trading floor, working closely with traders, marketers, business leaders, and support functions like credit, market risk, operations, technology, legal, compliance, and finance. As an Executive Director in the Commodities Business Management team, you will spearhead new business initiatives, manage and support business development, and coordinate regulatory and control projects. Your role will involve developing business strategies, optimizing performance, and partnering with business heads and support functions to advance key initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead new business initiatives and actively manage and support business development and structured deal pipeline, including coordinating required due diligence and related return analysis.
  • Coordinate implementation of regulatory and control-related projects.
  • Develop the annual budget, including revenue, expense, and capital planning.
  • Manage US-based Commodities Business Management team.
  • Optimize bottom-line business performance and improve various business processes by driving key initiatives.
