About The Position

The Executive Director is responsible for all community operations, ensuring quality of care and services, financial stability, budget management, staffing, and daily operations in compliance with government guidelines. This role fosters an environment of high standards of care and builds strong relationships with staff, residents, providers, and families, while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, nursing, or human services is preferred, or a combination of education and experience in a supervisory role in a senior living, healthcare, or hospitality environment.
  • Must be a Licensed Administrator in good standing (per state requirements) and/or meet all applicable federal and state license requirements.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a progressive leadership role in a senior living operation is required.
  • An understanding and compliance with all federal, state, and local resident rights regulations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in budget management and financial planning. Ability to develop, monitor, and optimize budgets aligned with organizational goals.
  • Knowledge of various computer systems and CRM software, and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven ability to build, lead, and inspire cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • A passion for serving seniors.
  • A high degree of accuracy in all assignments.
  • Ability to manage time effectively.
  • High integrity.
  • Capacity to work evenings and/or weekends and be on-call 24/7.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the on-site executive for all operations, acting as the primary contact for staff, residents, prospects, community organizations, government agencies, and the public.
  • Supervise, direct, and motivate all department directors, supervisors, and staff, maintaining training and morale.
  • Ensure high resident satisfaction through consistently delivering high-quality services.
  • Lead the development and implementation of all community sales and operations strategies and tactics, consistent with company objectives.
  • Understand community care regulations and support the Resident Care Program by meeting with the clinical department head to address issues.
  • Manage the community's budget and cash flow, maintain budget accountability, and proactively minimize negative budget variances and deficits.
  • Provide leadership for staff and residents, proactively solving problems and issues.
  • Act as the main property contact for Cogir Senior Living corporate staff, maintaining positive relationships.
  • Maintain current departmental policies, procedures, and licenses, following company, federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Review all employee hiring, promotions, disciplinary actions, and terminations, focusing on retaining quality personnel.
  • Maintain building grounds and property by supervising preventative maintenance systems and programs and conducting frequent inspections.
