About The Position

Emerald Crest of Minnetonka and Emerald Crest of Shakopee are seeking an Executive Director to lead our memory care communities. In this unique dual-site role, you’ll divide your time between Shakopee, a 40-unit memory care community, and Minnetonka, a 39-unit memory care community, providing leadership and operational oversight while ensuring residents receive compassionate, person-centered care in a safe and supportive environment. This is a rewarding opportunity for a leader who is passionate about serving individuals with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia while supporting dedicated teams committed to making a difference every day. As the Executive Director, you’ll oversee daily operations, foster strong relationships with residents, families, and staff, and ensure compliance with housing and regulatory standards across both communities. The ideal candidate must hold a current Licensed Assisted Living Director (LALD) license in Minnesota with at least one year of experience preferred. The successful candidate will have the ability to lead and support teams, build strong relationships, and promote exceptional resident care. Requirements

  • BA or BS degree in Health, Gerontology or Business Administration or other related field.
  • Previous experience in business management, emphasis on property management preferred.
  • Active Assisted Living Director (LALD) license.
  • minimum of 1-year experience in senior housing, assisted living or long-term care preferred.
  • Understanding of Assisted Living rules and regulations
  • Demonstrated success in creating a flourishing senior healthcare community.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.
  • Positive interpersonal, communication, & financial management skills.
  • Outstanding time management experience along with excellent communication, organizational and computer skills.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of a senior housing building that specializes in memory care.
  • Display an understanding of confidentiality for resident information and vulnerable adult issues.
  • Oversee the facility financial performance.
  • Provide exceptional leadership to the Emerald Crest team through positive engagement between staff, residents, families, and guests.
  • Oversee staff development, hiring practices, in-service training sessions, performance feedback, and promote a strong teamwork environment.
  • Support the initiatives of the Sales and Marketing Director to attract potential residents that will meet or exceed occupancy and service-offerings expectations at Emerald Crest.
  • Maintain and manage state and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Participate in development of strategic long-range plans for the community and our organization.
