Executive Director - Outpatient Mental Health & Substance Abuse Treatment Center Location: Northeast Philadelphia, PA Schedule: Full-Time, In-Person (Traditional Business Hours) Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience About Us High Focus Centers is a leading provider of outpatient behavioral health treatment in southeastern Pennsylvania. Through our specialized programs—Rehab After Work, The Light Program, and Seeds of Hope—we deliver high-quality, evidence-based care for adults and adolescents dealing with mental health challenges, substance use, eating disorders, and co-occurring conditions. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and mission-driven Executive Director to lead our behavioral health and substance use treatment services at our Northeast Philadelphia office. This individual will be responsible for the overall operational, clinical, financial, and regulatory oversight of the facility. The ideal candidate is a licensed clinician with a passion for leadership, strategic growth, team development, and client-centered care.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in a recognized clinical discipline from an accredited college (must include a clinical practicum).
  • Active clinical licensure in Pennsylvania (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT).
  • 2–5 years of supervisory or program leadership experience, preferably in behavioral health or substance use treatment.
  • Strong working knowledge of behavioral health regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage clinical and operational priorities effectively.
  • Commitment to evidence-based treatment and continuous quality improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to promote program growth and respond to changing community needs.
  • Lead a strong management team focused on collaboration, staff development, and service excellence.
  • Monitor and manage performance metrics related to access, engagement, clinical outcomes, financial targets, and employee satisfaction.
  • Participate in organization-wide performance improvement and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g., CARF).
  • Promote a welcoming, recovery-oriented, and client-centered environment.
  • Facilitate regular communication across the team through meetings and reporting systems.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure operational success.
  • Oversee development and management of the site’s annual budget and expenditures.
  • Participate in leadership meetings, task forces, and other organizational initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Provide day-to-day support, mentorship, and supervision to the site team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, clinical excellence, and professional growth.
