The Kamloops Central Business Improvement Association (KCBIA), established in 2002 and marketed as Downtown Kamloops, is a member‑driven organization focused on strengthening the economic vitality, vibrancy, and long‑term sustainability of the downtown core. Guided by a clear mission, a vision of a vibrant and liveable downtown, and values rooted in integrity, accountability, responsiveness, and strategic use of resources, KCBIA serves as an advocate and champion for downtown businesses and property owners. Through advocacy, promotion, beautification, and district programs and initiatives, the organization works collaboratively with its members, municipal partners, community organizations, and neighbouring business improvement associations to support a strong, active, and connected Downtown Kamloops. The Executive Director is the senior administrative and strategic leader of the Kamloops Central Business Improvement Association, responsible for advancing the long-term vitality, vibrancy, and competitiveness of the downtown business district. Reporting to the Board of Directors, this role translates strategic direction into measurable outcomes through strong leadership across strategy execution, organizational operations, financial stewardship, and stakeholder engagement. As a highly visible and relationship-oriented leader, the Executive Director works closely with business owners, municipal partners, community stakeholders, and members, leading a small, collaborative team while championing programs and advocacy that support economic vitality and downtown revitalization. Balancing aspirational vision with hands-on delivery, the Executive Director acts with integrity and a service-oriented mindset, consistently placing the health and success of the downtown core at the centre of day-to-day and strategic decision making.
