The Executive Director is responsible for the general well-being and health of residents in the community. This role ensures the coordination of care and services to residents, including general oversight of the Resident Care department and care staff. The Executive Director ensures the community models the organization’s core values and maintains appropriate staffing levels, actively seeking out and rewarding top performers while coaching others. This position is ultimately responsible for all paperwork required by State agencies, the Department of Social Services, the Health Department, and corporate regulations. The Executive Director participates in and conducts direct marketing for residents, community services, and staff recruitment, and acts as the responsible party before, during, and after formal licensing inspections. The role requires the ability to drive a company vehicle and adhere to scheduled shifts and Viva Senior Living’s attendance policies. The Executive Director must maintain the highest standards in caring for and servicing the needs of residents, their family members, and loved ones, while adhering to all facility policies and procedures. The position also involves reporting occupational exposures, work-related injuries, and maintaining confidentiality of Protected Health Information, as well as protecting residents from abuse and reporting any suspicions of a crime. Annual health requirements include verification of a negative TB skin test.
