About The Position

MSIM’s Global Liquidity Solutions Group is a liquidity management team comprised of dedicated portfolio management, trading, client service, product, sales, and relationship management professionals. They empower treasury professionals to achieve their unique objectives with a suite of industry leading market expertise, technology, and investment solutions, currently managing over $486 billion for a diverse group of clients. The Executive Director and Relationship Manager of Fixed Income Sales is responsible for driving revenue growth by cultivating and sustaining high-value, long-term relationships with key institutional clients. This senior leader acts as a trusted advisor, leveraging deep knowledge of fixed income markets to deliver customized investment strategies and tailored solutions. The role involves covering a defined group of Financial Institutions as distributors and investors in products across a defined territory, predominantly in the western part of the country. The Executive Director will execute a dual-focused strategy emphasizing new business development, alongside client retention and growth, supported by a dedicated sales desk, product management group, and cross-divisional sales team.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in fixed income sales, institutional relationship management, or portfolio management.
  • Deep understanding of fixed income markets, including credit, interest rates, structured finance, and active/passive strategies.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with a proven ability to manage complex relationships.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with experience in managing or mentoring teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Series 7 License required.

  • CFA designation or MBA is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key institutional clients, acting as a trusted advisor to understand their investment needs and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Develop a business development plan for a defined group of Fixed Income Intermediaries and Investors.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, grow assets under management (AUM) and meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Deliver tailored market updates, portfolio reviews, and investment solutions to senior-level decision-makers.
  • Partner with portfolio managers, product specialists, and marketing teams to develop investment strategies and enhance client coverage.
  • Lead, mentor, and coach junior sales staff and ensure all sales activities strictly comply with regulatory requirements.
