Executive Director, Rates Cash Trader

Markets provides solutions to clients with the means to manage their exposure through various derivatives, lending and cash products across Structured Products Group, Macro, Equities, Municipal Products Group, Credit Sales & Trading. About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking an Executive Director to join our Rates Cash trading team. This position would involve working with teams across regions. We are looking to become a market leading business across the globe to all of our Corporate and Institutional Clients.
Requirements
- 7+ years of Securities Trading experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
- BS/BA degree or higher in business administration, economics, finance, or related field.
- Ability to analyze data and use for decision-making and managing initiatives.
- Successful track record in systematically executing initiatives using project management disciplines.
- Highest level of integrity and good judgement and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong stakeholder skills and ability to work and lead across functions.
- Strong commercial judgement, excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Comfortable working in a matrix organizational environment and partnership skills.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
- Registration for FINRA Series 7 (or 79) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
Nice To Haves
- 8+ years of Rates trading experience.
- Strong sense of urgency and commitment as well as a strong business sense with a strategic and tactical orientation.
- Consistent track record of strong PnL.
- In depth understanding of technological, risk and regulatory trends impacting Rates business.
- Technical expertise in regulatory, compliance, and risk management issues.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Rates cash trading initiative in NY which encompasses trading, sales relationships, and client pricing.
- Perform daily risk management duties for all aspects of the trading portfolio.
- Capably run multiple books across regions.
- Work with the global team to dictate consistent, efficient, and timely pricing for all our clients.
- Build a franchise by fostering current customer relationships and onboarding new prospects.
- Help build analytical tools that improve our risk management capabilities and customer engagement.
