About The Position

The Washington State University Division of Academic Engagement & Student Achievement (DAESA) is seeking an Executive Director of University-Wide Advising. This role provides strategic leadership and oversight for undergraduate academic advising across WSU campuses, coordinating system-wide efforts within the institution’s new Shared Advising Model. The Executive Director will ensure the delivery of high-quality, equitable, and student-centered advising services to support student success, retention, and timely graduation for a diverse undergraduate student population across six campuses. This position involves collaboration with academic departments, colleges, campuses, student services areas, and university leadership to implement best practices and continuous improvement in advising.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Eight (8) years of progressively responsible relevant experience.
• At least three (3) years of managerial experience.
• Commitment to NACADA recommended advising practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.

Nice To Haves

• A Master’s degree in a related field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience.
• Doctorate in a related field.
• Experience in a shared advising model at a research university.
• Proven success in leading cross-functional teams and university-wide initiatives.
