The Center for Housing and Homelessness Research (CHHR) provides information and expertise to communities, policymakers and practitioners to transform the lives of people experiencing poverty, housing insecurity and homelessness by improving access to resources and increasing opportunities and choices. Housing security and homelessness are among our most pressing social justice imperatives, and while there is no single solution — or even a single definition of homelessness — data-driven research, policy and practice are key to addressing housing security issues and ending homelessness in America. Position Summary The Executive Director of the Center for Housing and Homelessness Research (CHHR) is a faculty administrative role within the Graduate School of Social Work, reporting to the unit leader and the Dean. The Executive Director role has a primary responsibility of providing leadership for the staff and activities of CHHR, establishing and maintaining mission and funding trajectories, fiscal sustainability, research integrity and development of new prospects. This includes raising the profile of CHHR among local, regional and national organizations and funders, working to identify potential donors, and pursuing research opportunities.
