About The Position

The Executive Director of ICU Mobile serves as the senior leader responsible for building, scaling, positioning, and expanding a national mobile ministry for Care Net. This role extends beyond division oversight to include architecting the national mobile ministry model, advancing new deployment concepts, establishing expansion pathways, strengthening church and affiliate integration, and shaping how mobile ministry is developed, deployed, and multiplied across the country. In close collaboration with the Senior Vice President of Strategic Programs, the Executive Director provides visionary, strategic, operational, and growth leadership for ICU Mobile. The role requires an executive who can translate ministry vision into scalable systems, strategic partnerships, sustainable revenue opportunities, operational platforms, and a replicable national ecosystem that expands Care Net’s life-affirming reach.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, nonprofit leadership, healthcare administration, ministry leadership, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven progressive executive leadership experience in nonprofit, ministry, healthcare, mobile service delivery, franchise or affiliate systems, or similarly complex growth-oriented environments.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic planning, operational leadership, organizational innovation, and multi-stakeholder ecosystem development.
  • Experience building and scaling programs, platforms, or networks across multiple sites, regions, or partner organizations strongly preferred.
  • Strong financial, business, and growth acumen, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, pricing, partnership models, and sustainable expansion strategies.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills, with the ability to inspire, influence, and align diverse audiences around a shared vision.
  • Ability to think strategically, solve complex system-level problems, and convert vision into executable structures, processes, and results.
  • Alignment with Care Net’s Christian mission, values, and statement of faith, and a demonstrated commitment to life-affirming ministry.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, refine, and lead a multi-year national strategy for ICU Mobile that supports growth, multiplication, and long-term ecosystem development in alignment with Care Net’s mission and organizational priorities.
  • Architect and evolve the national mobile ministry model, including expansion strategy, deployment concepts, ownership-readiness frameworks, and scalable ministry infrastructure.
  • Identify geographic expansion pathways, evaluate market and ministry opportunities, and recommend strategic priorities for regional and national growth.
  • Design and strengthen systems that integrate mobile ministry with affiliate partners, churches, and Care Net network initiatives to increase mission impact and operational readiness.
  • Lead innovation efforts that position ICU Mobile as a national thought leader in mobile ministry strategy, deployment, and best practices.
  • Establish goals, success measures, and performance indicators that assess not only operational effectiveness but also affiliate readiness, expansion velocity, and ministry impact.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Mobile Ministry Division while also building the operational frameworks required to scale a national specialty ministry platform.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of systems, standards, and processes related to mobile deployment, field support, safety, compliance, training, and affiliate launch readiness.
  • Direct cross-functional planning related to fleet systems, manufacturer coordination, engineering collaboration, workflow design, maintenance structures, mobile compliance, and deployment logistics.
  • Create and refine repeatable methodologies for mobile unit launch, affiliate sequencing, operational onboarding, and field execution across diverse ministry settings.
  • Partner closely with internal departments, including finance, development, HR, communications, and program teams, to ensure ICU Mobile has the internal alignment and infrastructure necessary for expansion.
  • Advance operational innovation by identifying emerging needs, solving system-level challenges, and building scalable support structures for a growing national mobile ministry network.
  • Develop and oversee ICU Mobile’s annual budget in collaboration with the SVP SP, ensuring resources are aligned with strategic priorities, expansion goals, and ministry objectives.
  • Lead forecasting and financial planning related to growth scenarios, deployment sustainability, operating costs, and long-range scaling models.
  • Help shape revenue generation strategies connected to mobile unit growth, affiliate support models, partnership structures, and national expansion initiatives.
  • Contribute strategic insight to pricing structures, support models, and sustainability frameworks that enable affiliates and ministry partners to launch and thrive.
  • Partner with development leadership to strengthen donor narratives, cultivate strategic donor confidence, support major funding opportunities, and articulate the case for mobile ministry expansion.
  • Evaluate financial performance, risks, and opportunities with an executive mindset that balances stewardship, innovation, and sustainable growth.
  • Serve as a spokesperson for ICU Mobile, representing the ministry at churches, conferences, events, meetings, and strategic gatherings.
  • Build and deepen relationships with affiliate partners, churches, donors, manufacturers, network organizations, and other strategic allies whose engagement advances the national mobile ministry ecosystem.
  • Recruit and cultivate affiliates, ministry collaborators, and church-based partners that can accelerate expansion, adoption, and mission effectiveness.
  • Cast vision persuasively to internal and external audiences through presentations, reports, training environments, and partner conversations that mobilize support and action.
  • Help centers and partner ministries operationalize mobile models by providing strategic guidance and practical implementation support.
  • Strengthen ICU Mobile’s national positioning through thought leadership, partnership development, brand credibility, and subject matter expertise in mobile ministry innovation.
  • Recruit, lead, coach, and develop team members in collaboration with the SVP SP, ensuring strong leadership capacity within ICU Mobile.
  • Mentor direct reports as well as affiliate leaders, ministry operators, and executive stakeholders who are responsible for launching or strengthening mobile ministry efforts.
  • Build training architecture, leadership development pathways, and replicable education systems that expand capability across the broader mobile ministry network.
  • Establish clear expectations, accountability structures, and development plans that support both ministry excellence and scalable national growth.
  • Foster a Christ-centered, collaborative, entrepreneurial culture marked by innovation, trust, stewardship, and shared commitment to life-affirming ministry.
  • Promote best practices and continuous learning across internal staff, affiliates, and partners so that ICU Mobile’s expertise can be effectively multiplied nationwide.
  • Significantly influence national sales strategy, mobile unit pipeline development, manufacturer and vendor negotiations, product and platform development, grant deployment strategy, government partnership strategy, national conference architecture, fleet-wide coaching systems, marketing ecosystem development, church mobilization systems, and scaling affiliate infrastructure.
