About The Position

The Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness, Research, and Planning provides executive leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for accreditation, assessment, institutional research, planning, continuous improvement activities, and regulatory reporting.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel and work beyond normal office hours.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • Doctoral degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10 years of related experience.
  • Experience with Federal and State reporting
  • Demonstrated experience working with Power BI and/or Tableau, institutional assessment and accreditation software such as AEFIS, Taskstream, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic direction, goals, plans, and policies for various activities associated with institutional effectiveness including assessment, research, planning, and evaluation processes across campus.
  • Ensure that data are collected and official reports are produced in a timely manner to maintain compliance with Federal, State, System, and University reporting requirements.
  • Develop technologically driven enhancements for providing internal constituents with access to data and information for decision making.
  • Support and coordinate accreditation processes at the institutional (i.e., SACSCoC) and programmatic levels (e.g., CAPTE, CSWE, ABET, AACSB, CCNE) in conjunction with the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs.
  • Facilitate institutional research activities in the management, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of various data and information including those associated with student success, curriculum development, distance education development, and enrollment forecasting.
  • Develop and lead continuous improvement processes.
  • Analyze University data and prepares reports and executive summaries.
  • Provide guidance, as needed, with analyzing, reporting and disseminating assessment results.
  • Provide leadership and direction for the design, development, and maintenance of a system of longitudinal databases to assist in planning.
  • Administer the budget and oversees the fiscal operations of the department.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the office including the supervision of staff.
