About The Position

The Executive Director of Global Strategic Insights for Rare Tumors will partner with the Global Brand teams to proactively identify needs/opportunities to inform brand strategy and collaborate with Global Strategic Insights (GSI) and Commercial Excellence to pull through primary market research, secondary market data analytics, competitive intelligence, and other critical market intelligence needs. This role involves driving and consolidating brand analytics, developing global dashboards to convey brand performance, and supporting internal governance committee meetings. The individual will also monitor above-market competitor activities, generate market research, shape competitive positioning strategies, and communicate key insights to leadership and relevant partners. Additionally, they will engage with Global Brand Teams, drive competitive monitoring at scientific meetings, demonstrate disease area knowledge, manage the annual budget, and contribute to long-range revenue forecasts. An innovative mindset and the ability to perform other assigned duties are also expected.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (business or related disciplines)
  • 10+ years of pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology commercial experience; 8 years with a Master’s degree; or 6 years with a PhD
  • Minimum of 5+ years related experience in leadership roles in global marketing, market research, and/or competitive intelligence
  • This position must be able to work East Coast hours.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Global Brand teams to proactively identify needs/opportunities to inform brand strategy.
  • Collaborate with Global Strategic Insights (GSI) and Commercial Excellence to pull through primary market research: global strategy, positioning, messaging, and campaigns.
  • Conduct secondary market data analytics.
  • Manage competitive intelligence, including above-market competitor activities (e.g., trials / data/ conferences).
  • Communicate key competitive insights to leadership, the global team, and relevant regional/country partners.
  • Identify key business questions and other critical market intelligence needs.
  • Conduct competitive workshopping and global scientific meeting coverage.
  • Support local ex-US forecasting efforts (support, consolidation) and long-range forecast/strategic plan.
  • Drive and consolidate brand analytics and development of global dashboards to convey brand performance, KPI achievement, and other market performance indicators.
  • Support planning and preparation for internal governance committee meetings.
  • Monitor above-market competitor activities (e.g., trials /data/ conferences) and share with key leaders.
  • Generate market research that informs brand strategy and long-term financial plan.
  • Shape competitive positioning strategies in alignment with Global Brand Leaders.
  • Communicate key competitive insights in a clear and timely way to leadership, the global team, and relevant regional/country partners.
  • Actively engage with Global Brand Teams to align on key business questions and other critical market intelligence needs.
  • Drive competitive monitoring and intelligence at global scientific meetings.
  • Demonstrate disease area and market knowledge and develop strong relationships with key customers.
  • Manage and strategically allocate annual budget.
  • Provide input into long-range revenue forecasts.
