About The Position

Responsible for department operations to include planning, development, implementation, and assessment of all philanthropic activities including annual giving programs, donor stewardship and acquisitions, capital campaigns, grants management, events, and gift shop administration to meet annual strategic goals and objectives to achieve maximum philanthropic support for Wickenburg Community Hospital.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in public administration or nonprofit management preferred, or public relations, marketing, or related field with minimum two years professional nonprofit leadership experience.
  • Working knowledge of nonprofit law to include state laws, tax regulations, conflict of interests, and fiduciary duties.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Customer Relationship Management software (CRM), and digital media applications.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, creativity, accuracy, and proven attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively as a member of a team and have experience supervising, coordinating, and motivating personnel.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
  • High level of integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, implement, and assess all giving programs, IRS compliant donor recognition program, capital campaigns, grants management, events, and gift shop operations, based and agreed upon annual fundraising goals and objectives.
  • Manage department financials to include development of annual budget and collaboration with hospital accountant to ensure accurate financial reporting and proper coding of department revenue and expenses.
  • Collaborate with Hospital marketing/community relations when promoting philanthropic appeals and activities to uphold company brand management.
  • Perform administrative duties such as completing necessary forms, reports, evaluations, and documentation.
  • Coordinate board member development, onboarding and orientation.
  • Coordinate board member meetings by providing assistance and ongoing education to board members, develop agendas, information packets, completion of minutes, and provide other necessary supportive documents.
  • Provide support to Foundation Board Chair and Event Chairpersons.
  • Attend and report at Hospital Board Member, Leadership, and Employee Orientation meetings regarding Foundation activities and accomplishments.
  • Develop, administer, and revise department policies and procedures, including annual reviews and updates as needed.
  • Serve as an advocate for both the Foundation and Hospital internally/externally; communicate mission, vision, and values.
  • Contribute to and promote positive relationships between both Foundation and Hospital staff, guests, and volunteers.
  • Always maintain the confidentiality of donor and patient information.
  • Represent both the Foundation and Hospital in a positive manner within the community and as applicable, participate in various Hospital, community, and professional activities and organizations.
  • Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends.
  • Perform all tasks and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
