About The Position

Rocky View County is seeking an experienced executive to join their team as Executive Director, Corporate Services. This role involves overseeing a team of 47 professionals across Information Technology, Legal Services, Legislative Services, and People & Culture. The position requires a visionary leader to drive operational excellence and make a lasting impact in municipal leadership. The Executive Director will lead the Corporate Services Division to achieve long-term goals, foster an innovative approach to public service, build stakeholder relationships, promote operational efficiency, and ensure fiscal responsibility and sustainability through effective financial planning and budgeting.

Requirements

Master’s degree in a relevant field (preferred)
10+ years of senior leadership experience, ideally in municipal or government administration.
Background in Legislation, Human Resources or IT (preferred)
Certifications in Local Government Management or Administration.
Proven expertise in budget management, financial planning, and policy development.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all organizational levels.
A proactive leader capable of prioritizing and managing multiple initiatives in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Lead the Corporate Services Division to achieve Rocky View County’s long-term goals.
Foster an innovative and responsive approach to public service.
Build and sustain strong inter-municipal and community relationships.
Act as a liaison and advocate for the County’s strategic vision and goals.
Oversee all financial and administrative functions within the division.
Promote efficiency and high service quality to enhance community trust and satisfaction.
Manage all financial planning and budgeting processes.
Ensure alignment with both short and long-term objectives to support the County’s fiscal health and growth.
