About The Position

This is a requisition for an Executive Consultant with experience in Genomic Epidemiology (GE) and Advanced Molecular Diagnostic (AMD) techniques to perform an assessment of the current technology stack at TDH across lab and epidemiology environments, work with IT staff to understand current and future limitations and opportunities, use that assessment to develop and design an roadmap, and develop an implementation plan. The consultant will be expected to design the assessment based on their specific domain knowledge and create a clear vision for this project.

Requirements

• Working, applied knowledge with laboratory information systems.
• Working, applied knowledge with communicable disease surveillance systems.
• Working, applied knowledge with IT infrastructure options such as SQL and Linux computing platforms.
• Working, applied knowledge with standard AMD software and packages.
• Working, applied knowledge with data security and interoperability standards.
• Ability to successfully elicit needs and ideas from a variety of staff including laboratory technicians, informatics staff, disease surveillance staff, IT staff, and others.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to develop positive rapport with staff at analyst and executive levels.
