About The Position

Chainguard is seeking an Executive Communications and Content Manager to enhance the executive team's and community's market presence with distinct points of view. This role is primarily focused on thought leadership and content creation, involving writing and developing various content formats such as blog posts, bylines, social media content, videos, and talking points. The manager will work with the executive team to craft individual narratives aligned with company objectives and extend this thought leadership to customers. The ideal candidate is a strong writer and storyteller adept at managing multiple voices and deadlines, capable of translating complex topics for developer, security, and business audiences.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in executive communications, public relations, content/brand storytelling, journalism, or a related writing-intensive role.
  • Ability to manage content across multiple executives, channels, and deadlines without compromising quality.
  • A strong storyteller's instinct to identify and develop narratives from news, customer moments, or executive ideas into resonant content.
  • Excellent writing and messaging skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and compellingly.
  • Comfort operating confidently around senior executives, including knowing when to push back or provide guidance.
  • Proven success in cross-functional, highly collaborative roles.

Nice To Haves

  • In-house experience is a plus.
  • Experience working in highly technical or developer-facing organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and write executive thought leadership content including blog posts, bylines, videos, and long-form pieces to build executives' individual points of view and reputations in the security and open source communities.
  • Collaborate with Chainguard customers to develop content that showcases their industry leadership and their use of Chainguard.
  • Manage and write social content for the executive team, ensuring posts authentically reflect each person's voice.
  • Shape narratives, talking points, and prep materials to assist executives in presenting clear stories at external engagements like podcasts, events, and webinars.
  • Translate technical and strategic topics into compelling stories for developer, security, and business audiences.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, PR, and Events teams to ensure executive storytelling reinforces broader company narratives, launches, and campaigns.
  • Own the external content calendar for each supported executive and manage the content creation process from start to finish.
