Compensation Range: $107.55 - $161.32 Work Shift: 8 Hour (days) (United States of America) Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Job Description Summary: The Executive Director of Perioperative Services directs, supervises, coordinates, plans, and evaluates department functions and activities in order to provide cost-effective care of high quality according to the standards set at MarinHealth Medical Center. This role assumes total responsibility for overall operations of Surgery, Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Anesthesia, Pre-op, Endoscopy, Pre-Admission Center (PAC), Sterile Processing Department, Perioperative Services Business Office, Trauma Services and Interventional Services Departments (Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Echo/Treadmill, Electrophysiology Lab, Interventional Radiology, EEG/EMG). Functions include organization, planning, and supervising to insure the delivery of safe effective nursing care. Other functions include new business development, service line growth, budgeting, staff development, physician engagement, and optimization of Perioperative Services. Consults with and advises the Chief Nursing Officer on activities related to clinical operations, quality improvement and risk management activities of the departments; implements changes in policy, programs and physical resources required to achieve hospital objectives. Ensures compliance with regulatory and governing agencies and established hospital standards, practice and procedures. Develops tactical strategies working cooperatively with medical staff in pursuit of quality of care, financial and operational objectives.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing or Health/Business Management required
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in acute perioperative or interventional services management
  • Minimum 3 years recent management experience leading to demonstrated competence in fiscal, human resources and operational efficiency

  • Thorough knowledge and application of relevant software programs, e.g., MS Office, quality database, familiarity with database management, effective use within a campus-wide environment and programs with analytics/reporting
