Requirements

Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar leadership role in a hospitality or culinary setting
Strong background in hospitality, with a focus on senior living or healthcare food service preferred
Excellent culinary skills with knowledge of nutrition and dietary restrictions
Leadership and team management abilities
Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards
Exceptional organizational and communication skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing needs

Culinary certification or degree is preferred

Responsibilities

Oversee all culinary operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation, ensuring high standards of quality and safety
Develop and implement nutritious, balanced, and appealing menus tailored to the dietary needs of senior residents
Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
Control food costs and manage inventory to optimize efficiency and minimize waste
Collaborate with healthcare and activity teams to coordinate special events and themed dining experiences
Ensure a positive dining environment that promotes resident satisfaction and well-being
Stay current with culinary trends and incorporate innovative ideas into menu development
