About The Position

Sodexo Corporate Services in NYC is seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Executive Chef. As the Chef you’ll be at the forefront of culinary excellence, curating upscale hospitality experiences that delight our discerning clientele. This is a hands-on, role that will focus on supporting our growing the culinary program with our client this position will require flexibility as the client has lots of catering. We seek a strong culinary leader with a proven commitment to innovation, teamwork, and collaboration to help us achieve our vision.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 years Minimum Management Experience
  • 3 years Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Are strong all-round culinary ability and strong craft skills in all areas of professional cookery, including main courses; salads; sauce work; and pastry and baking
  • Have a strong knowledge of food and able to cook using multiple styles of cuisine
  • Recognizing and reacting to contemporary trends
  • Use of correct food terminology and cooking methods
  • Constantly looking for new recipes and new ideas and initiatives that will improve both the quality of food and service as a whole
  • Play a key role and enthusiastically mentor’s culinary personnel
