About The Position

The Executive Chef at Hilton Mystic is responsible for overseeing all culinary operations within the hotel, including on-site restaurant, banquet and catering services, and in-room dining. This is a full-time, management role with a salary of up $80,000-85,000 per year, paid biweekly. The Executive Chef will ensure the highest quality of food and service is provided to guests while maintaining a profitable and efficient operation.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in culinary management, preferably in a hotel setting
• Extensive knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu planning and costing, food preparation, and food safety
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively train and manage a team
• Creativity and skills in developing new and innovative menu items
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing situations
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of culinary operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
• Create and maintain recipes and standards for all food items served on property
• Train, manage, and mentor a team of cooks and kitchen staff
• Monitor food and labor costs and make adjustments as needed to maintain profitability
• Ensure compliance with health and sanitation regulations
• Collaborate with other departments, such as Banquets and Sales, to ensure successful execution of events and functions
• Create and implement special menus for holidays and events
• Maintain inventory and order necessary supplies and equipment
• Foster a positive and productive working environment for all kitchen staff
