About The Position

The Alida hotel, a 173-room establishment, celebrates contemporary artisans who embody Savannah's spirit. The hotel blends modern life with timeless Southern charm on Savannah's revitalized riverfront, embodying the essence of Southern hospitality. This role is for an individual passionate about the connections forged through conversation and shared meals. The primary responsibility is to align the culinary team towards achieving excellence in all aspects of Food & Beverage. Beyond menu creation and defining a restaurant's identity, the Executive Chef will develop and mentor a unified team of hospitalitarians. This includes leading recipe development and execution, ensuring food is prepared properly, safely, and with a high degree of detail and excellence. The Executive Chef will be in charge of the back of house and kitchen operations, working closely with the F&B GM to guarantee an impeccable guest experience.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as an Executive Chef.
  • Leadership experience and presence.
  • A keen eye for detail related to food preparation and presentation.
  • Excellent food handling skills.
  • Ability to research what new food trends are emerging, and develop them according to concept.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities.
  • Modify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards.
  • Monitor food and labor costs.
  • Recruit, manage, train and develop culinary team members.
  • Give prepared plates the final touch.
  • Implement/monitor and document relevant food safety programs.
