About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. This role involves providing leadership, development, and support to create a positive environment that encourages ownership and accountability. The Executive Chef will be responsible for building and developing unique food offerings, setting culinary trends, and innovating unique culinary experiences. This position requires exceptional culinary skills and a keen eye for business to drive results and ensure compliance with all safety and sanitation standards. The Executive Chef will also foster an inclusive environment, build strong relationships, and educate the team on seasonal products, culinary styles, and industry trends.

Requirements

  • Minimum of ten years of culinary management experience managing a team
  • Ability to work and lead effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to educate and demonstrate advanced fundamentals of cooking
  • Flexibility in scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading in a unionized environment
  • Food Safety Certification
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification from a culinary institute is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, development, support and motivation to Leaders, creating a positive environment that encourages ownership and accountability; attracts and retains a diverse talent pool while meeting or exceeding business results!
  • Build and develop unique food offerings that provide our Guest with a variety of selections.
  • Set trends and innovate unique culinary experiences for style of cuisine.
  • Role model exceptional culinary skills and cuisine savvy!
  • Develop and create innovative menus in alignment with the restaurant’s style and concept.
  • Design and implement a wide range of menu offerings for various dining areas and special events.
  • Coordinate the production process, ensuring consistency, freshness, and presentation of all items.
  • Monitor monthly inventory, par levels, spoilage, and support environmental efforts.
  • Champion change with creative thinking and vision to drive business results.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and uphold sanitation standards.
  • Cultivate an environment where Cast feel included, trusted, empowered, and recognized.
  • Establish strong relationships among Cast, leaders, peers, and direct reports.
  • Support and drive location menu development.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of equipment and facilities.
  • Educate Cast on seasonal products, culinary styles and techniques, industry trends, and special dietary needs.
