About The Position

The Marriott Cincinnati North is seeking a talented and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional dining experiences, have a strong banquet and catering background, manage kitchen operations, and drive culinary innovation. This leadership role requires a strong commitment to quality, creativity, and team development in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar leadership role in a hotel or upscale restaurant setting.
  • Exceptional culinary skills with a strong knowledge of various cuisines and cooking techniques.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets, control costs, and analyze financial reports.
  • Strong understanding of food safety standards and regulations.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for innovation and quality.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Minimum 2-3 years hotel kitchen experience
  • Strong Hotel Banquet experience
  • Strong Knowledge of culinary math, ordering and scheduling

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and safety.
  • Develop and design menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting guest preferences and dietary needs.
  • Manage inventory, food costs, and ordering to maximize profitability without compromising quality.
  • Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff to foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Collaborate with hotel management and other departments to coordinate catering and banquet services.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships to source the best ingredients and supplies.
  • Monitor and control kitchen labor costs and schedules effectively.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve kitchen processes and guest satisfaction.
