About The Position
Solero Behavioral Transitions provides a safe and supportive environment for individuals struggling with severe mental illness. Our program offers comprehensive care, including individual and group therapy sessions, case management services, and life skills training. A mental health residential facility is a place where people receive intensive, specialized care for mental health or substance abuse issues in a non-hospital setting. Residents receive 24-hour supervision, treatment, and support from mental health experts. The environment is homelike and supportive, and residents participate in therapeutic activities. NewVista Behavioral Health is a forward-thinking development and operating company of behavioral health hospitals, substance abuse rehabilitation centers, behavioral health providers and transport operators, as well as outpatient telehealth solutions. The NewVista mission is to inspire hope and deliver holistic care in a contemporary and healing environment. One that is conducive to providing the life skills needed to regain stability and independence, utilizing a passionate and highly-trained team of professionals.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or relevant work experience combination.
- Must be 21 yrs or older.
- License: Food Safe Certification by opening.
Responsibilities
- Maintains rotating menu and orders supplies within established budgets.
- Ensures proper storage, labeling, and dating of food per guidelines.
- Monitors HACCP programs, checks food temperatures, and maintains sanitation and food safety practices.
- Prepares meals according to the menu cycle, emphasizing attractiveness and taste.
- Interacts with patients and staff, modeling customer service.
- Assists in cleaning, ensures staff follows cleaning schedules, and maintains equipment.
- Makes dietary staff schedules, ensuring snacks align with resident preferences and physician orders.
- Practices safety, infection control, and emergency procedures.
- Coaches and trains dietary staff.
