About The Position

The Executive Assistant will support the President & CEO of Converse along with another Sr. Director. This role requires someone capable of working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, acting as a thought partner and a source of knowledge for the team. Strategic thinking and a keen attention to detail are critical. The ideal candidate will possess strong organization skills, the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and the capacity to work through high levels of ambiguity independently. They should take pride in their work, proactively follow through on requests, and be able to work effectively with a variety of personalities at many levels. Excellent communication skills, efficiency, and the ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information are essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field, or any suitable combination of education, experience, and training.
  • Minimum of 5 years of administrative work experience supporting a senior level vice president in a large, matrixed corporate environment.
  • Experience supporting and partnering with C-suite employees, government officials, and other high-ranking officials.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Strong reading, writing, math and communication skills.
  • Proven experience and success working with a variety of high-profile stakeholders (e.g., Executive leadership team members or Converse sponsored athletes and collaborators).
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Comfort working through ambiguity.
  • Previous experience with event planning.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel) and virtual meeting tools (Zoom / MS Teams).
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgement when handling confidential and sensitive information.

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years of administrative work experience.
  • Experience with budget creation/management and planning proposals.
  • Experience with Keynote.
  • Experience with AI tools like Chat GPT or Microsoft Copilot.
  • Prior experience handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to occasionally work outside of core business hours.
  • Previous Converse work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the leader’s schedule, ensuring timely appointments and meetings, and proactively resolving calendaring conflicts.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the leader and internal/external stakeholders, handling email correspondence and responding to inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Secure event space, manage budgeting, catering, agenda planning, scheduling, and work with external parties as needed for meetings and events.
  • Support the coordination of materials for Board of Director meetings.
  • Make complex domestic and international travel arrangements and complete and review expense reports.
  • Draft, review, organize important documents, reports, and presentations, and at times present and share these documents.
  • Represent, lead, mentor, partner, and drive efficiency across the Converse administrative community.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of special projects, ensuring deadlines are met and objectives are achieved.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding sensitive information and decisions.
  • Onboard new hires, prep workspaces, equipment, office supplies, and schedule meet and greets.
  • Train and mentor other administrative hires as needed.
  • Coordinate team/company events, including staff meetings, team-building activities, offsites, and other functions.
