About The Position

Forterra seeks an experienced Executive Assistant to provide high-level support in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This role is responsible for managing complex priorities, anticipating needs, and ensuring leaders can operate efficiently and stay focused on the highest-impact work. The Executive Assistant will serve as a trusted partner, managing calendars, travel, meetings, communications, and day-to-day coordination while helping drive follow-through across a wide range of priorities. Forterra is a fast-growing company operating in a dynamic environment where priorities can shift quickly. Consistent with this growth, our Executive Assistants must be highly organized, resourceful, adaptable, and comfortable exercising independent judgment. Success in this role requires more than strong administrative skills—you should be able to understand the broader context behind requests, anticipate what is needed before being asked, identify and resolve conflicts, and confidently manage competing priorities. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with senior leaders and teams across the organization. You will handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion, build strong relationships internally and externally, and help create the structure and operating rhythms that allow leaders and teams to work effectively.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience supporting senior executives in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex executive calendars and travel
  • Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound judgment and ability to operate independently while handling confidential information
  • Proficiency with Outlook, Slack, PowerPoint and other productivity tools

  • Experience supporting executives in a high-growth technology, defense, aerospace, or government contracting environment
  • Experience coordinating executive meetings, customer engagements, and company or leadership events
  • Experience supporting multiple senior leaders or particularly complex schedules

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level executive support, serving as a trusted partner and helping manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Own complex calendar management, proactively prioritizing meetings, resolving conflicts, protecting focus time, and ensuring schedules reflect the most important business priorities.
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel, including flights, accommodations, ground transportation, itineraries, and last-minute changes.
  • Anticipate needs and proactively address issues before they become problems, using sound judgment to determine when to act independently and when to escalate.
  • Plan and coordinate meetings, leadership sessions, offsites, customer engagements, and other events, ensuring logistics and materials are handled from start to finish.
  • Prepare leaders for meetings and engagements by coordinating agendas, materials, background information, and other relevant context.
  • Track commitments, decisions, and follow-ups to help ensure priorities continue moving forward.
  • Serve as a key point of coordination across teams, helping facilitate communication and maintain alignment among internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization and represent Forterra professionally with customers, partners, candidates, and other external stakeholders.
  • Manage sensitive and confidential information with a high degree of discretion and professionalism.
  • Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes, tools, and operating rhythms as the company continues to scale.
  • Provide additional support on special projects and evolving business priorities as needed.
