Lifesteps is a nonprofit human services organization based in Butler, Pennsylvania, approximately 20 miles north of Pittsburgh. For more than 100 years, Lifesteps has supported individuals and families throughout Western Pennsylvania through programs and services that help people live with greater independence and support. The Executive Assistant / Support Supervisor supports the President and Chief Executive Officer and supervises the day-to-day operations of the office and assigned staff.

Requirements

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to proof and edit accurately.

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Adaptability and tolerance to changing needs.
  • Ability to function well in a team environment.
  • Ability to complete tasks independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 suite of products, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Two (2) years’ administrative support experience supporting senior leadership.

  • Prior Supervisory experience.
  • Nonprofit Board experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support the President and Chief Executive Officer.
  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of the office and assigned staff.
  • Serve as a liaison to various Boards of Directors.
  • Prepare and coordinate Board meetings.
  • Take minutes at Board meetings.
  • Compose and edit correspondence.
  • Organize meetings.
  • Manage email and calendars.
  • Supervise receptionist/support team.
