About The Position

The purpose of this position is to support the Oconee County Administration & Attorney team. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities. The Executive Assistant/Paralegal will handle a range of administrative duties, manage daily schedules, coordinate travel, prepare documents, and serve as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. Conducts legal research in support of Attorney.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with office productivity tools, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and calendar management software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized and able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate needs and stay ahead of tasks
  • Self-motivated and desire to learn and acquire new skills
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Organize and manage the executive’s schedule, including meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements, ensuring effective time management
  • Serve as a liaison between the executive and internal/external stakeholders. Screen calls, emails, and requests, responding on behalf of the executive when appropriate
  • Arrange and prepare for meetings, including setting up conference rooms, preparing agendas, compiling materials, and recording minutes as needed
  • Plan and coordinate domestic and international travel, including booking flights, accommodations, and ground transportation
  • Prepare, edit, and format documents, reports, presentations, and correspondence with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Assist with special projects and research tasks, ensuring timely completion and keeping the executive informed of project status
  • Organize and maintain files, records, and other important documentation, both physical and digital
  • Manage and submit expense reports and track reimbursements according to company policies
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn relevant federal and state laws, regulations, policies, for organizational functions and delivery of services
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism
  • Ability to deal courteously and effectively with the public, and colleagues
