About The Position

The Executive Assistant will provide high-level administrative support to the CEO and other senior leaders, in accordance with the philosophy, goals and objectives of Cozad Community Health System. This description intends to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees assigned to this job. It is not intended to include all duties, responsibilities, and qualifications. Requirements

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • At least two years of related experience required.
  • Successful candidates will have extensive knowledge of office administration, clerical procedures, and recordkeeping systems; excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines; extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; and ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Basic Life Support (CPR)
  • Ability to read and interpret documents.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of patients, employees, community members, and board members.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach and bend; use hands to fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move 35 pounds; must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; must occasionally push, pull and assist with lifting up to 300 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Provides high-level administrative support and assistance to the CEO and/or other assigned leadership staff.
  • Performs clerical and administrative tasks including drafting letters, memos, invoices, reports, and other documents for senior leaders.
  • Arranges travel and accommodations for leaders.
  • Schedules and attends meetings on behalf of senior leaders, taking notes, and recording minutes. Specifically Board Meetings, Med Staff meetings, and Department Head meetings.
  • Receives incoming communication or memos on behalf of senior leaders, reviews contents, determines importance, and summarizes and/or distributes contents to appropriate staff.
  • Follows all HIPAA guidelines and promotes and ensures patient safety.
  • Fulfills mission statement by performing job duties with a high level of customer service while contributing to a positive and professional environment.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.
