McMenamins Edgefield is seeking an Execution Sous Chef. This role primarily assists the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and staff, especially in the Chef's absence. Responsibilities include overseeing all food production for restaurants, pubs, catering, and special events. The Sous Chef will supervise and train staff, enforce portion control, participate in hiring, order food and supplies, create staff schedules, conduct performance evaluations, handle administrative duties, manage food and labor costs, ensure timely food expediting, attend department head meetings, facilitate staff and manager meetings, conduct monthly inventory, and contribute to menu development and food specials. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
