About The Position

You will play a key role in driving financial accuracy and recovery efforts as an Exceptions Supervisor within our Supply Chain organization. In this high-impact position, you will take ownership of reviewing, validating, and resolving customer deductions related to pricing, shortages, promotional activity, freight discrepancies, and other invoice variances assuring precision and accountability in every detail. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners across Accounts Receivable, Sales, Customer Service, Logistics, and Supply Chain to investigate claims, maintain accurate documentation, and deliver timely, effective resolutions. Your work will directly influence operational efficiency and help minimize financial leakage across the organization. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university and 2+ years relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
  • Experience acting as a lead by providing training, coaching, or mentoring to less experienced staff or through managing a process or project.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, plan effectively, and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships and maintain a positive, team‑oriented attitude.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in deductions management, accounts receivable, customer claims, transportation, manufacturing, or warehousing, preferred.
  • SAP or other ERP experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations of the Exceptions team, ensuring balanced workload distribution, timely processing, and accurate dispute resolution.
  • Oversee and approve complex deductions, including shortages, damages, freight discrepancies, and related claims.
  • Coach, train, and provide continuous performance feedback to team members to drive productivity and accuracy.
  • Establish and maintain standardized processes, policies, and documentation to strengthen deduction management practices.
  • Partner with AR, Sales, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Customer Service to resolve issues, identify trends, and address root causes.
  • Drive initiatives with leadership to reduce invalid deductions and improve financial recovery outcomes.
  • Develop and deliver regular dashboards, KPIs, and performance reporting to leadership.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, audit requirements, and internal control standards.
  • Support initiatives aimed at reducing financial leakage and optimizing dispute resolution workflows.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Supervise a team of 4 Exceptions Coordinators.
