About The Position

Easterseals Florida is seeking an Exceptional Student Education Teacher Assistant to join our team in The School for Limitless Learning for our 2025-2026 school year. This full-time, school-year position involves working 37.5 hours per week. Our private school utilizes a play-based curriculum and an inclusive approach to education for children who are neurodiverse or have other related disabilities. The Teacher Assistant will provide essential support in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children throughout the school year.

Requirements

A Florida Staff Credential (one of the following): Florida Child Care Professional Credential (FCCPC), Early Childhood Professional Certificate (ECPC), National Early Childhood Credential (CDA/NECC), or Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education/Child Development
Successful completion of the Florida Department of Children & Families 45-hour Child Care Training preferred
Current CPR and First Aid certification

Nice To Haves

A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field with coursework

Responsibilities

Provide a positive, safe, stimulating, and inclusionary learning environment
Design and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities
Provide constant supervision to ensure the safety and well-being of each child within the learning center
Maintain open and effective communication with parents and families
Work collaboratively with other educators and staff to promote a positive and cohesive team environment
Screen and assess children to determine developmental and educational needs
