About The Position
The Exceptional Children's Teacher will be responsible for the instructional program and providing special education services to students with disabilities. This role requires maintaining student records to meet local, state, and federal mandates, including IDEA. The position also includes the normal duties of a classroom teacher and other tasks assigned by the principal and/or superintendent.
Requirements
- NC Educator License in Special Education: General Curriculum and/or Adapted Curriculum required
- Successful experience in working with students on behavior management preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide special education services for students with disabilities
- Maintain exceptional children student records to meet local/state requirements and federal mandates of IDEA
- Perform normal duties of a classroom teacher
- Perform other duties assigned by principal and/or superintendent
