About The Position

Baldwin Paving Company, Inc. is currently seeking for Excavator Operators, with at least three years of experience. Must be able to lay pipe. This will be a full-time role. This position reports to the Site Foreman. Nights and/or weekends may be required in addition to regular day shifts. Requirements

At least three years of experience as an Excavator Operator.
Must be able to lay pipe.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently.
Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment-vest, steel-toed boots, helmet.
Ability to lift, push, pull or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue, and to effectively jump, sprint, or throw an object.
Good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination.
Ability to quickly move arms and legs.
Ability to sit for an extended period of time and the eye/hand/feet ability and coordination to operate a manual transmission and clutch in both trucks and any other equipment being driven.
Able to climb stairs/ steps and to use handrails to climb and exit the equipment’s raised cab.
Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.
Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
Report to the assigned job site in proper attire and ready to begin work at the designated start time.
Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Safety Manual.
Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA and company policy.
Willingness and ability to perform manual work and follow verbal and written instructions.

Nice To Haves

A high school diploma or equivalent is desired, but not required.

Responsibilities

Operate Excavating equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
Lay pipe.
Build, level, grade, and excavate land surfaces using an excavator.
Transport material to and from plant silos.
Gather and load material from job sites onto and off of trucks, and vice versa. Transport to the appropriate location.
Gather, load, and transport material using the equipment.
Maintain accurate logs and records.
Perform general labor as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.
