About The Position

Play a critical role in construction projects by operating and maneuvering heavy machinery and equipment. Your expertise in operating equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and cranes will be essential for tasks such as excavation, material handling, grading, and site preparation. Your precision and adherence to safety protocols will contribute to the successful completion of construction projects.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Must have valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Motor Vehicle report required.
  • Drug and Alcohol Screening
  • Transportation to and from the jobsite.

Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy machinery and equipment, such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders to perform assigned tasks.
  • Follow project plans, blueprints, and specifications to carry out excavation, grading, and material handling operations.
  • Safely and skillfully maneuver equipment to load, unload, and transport construction materials.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure proper functionality and report any issues to supervisors.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and operate machinery in a safe and responsible manner, considering surrounding workers and structures.
  • Continuously update knowledge and skills related to equipment operation and safety practices.
