About The Position

TruGreen Metal Recycling is seeking a customer-focused Excavator Operator with a Class 1 license to join their scrap cleanup crew. This role involves contributing to scrap metal recycling services in Saskatchewan and Alberta. The position requires professionalism, resourcefulness, and responsibility. Successful candidates may undergo training, starting with driving Class 1 vehicles for three to six months before transitioning to the Excavator Operator role. Responsibilities include on-site material processing, removal, equipment transportation, and maintenance.

Requirements

Class 1A drivers license (required)
Minimum of 2 year of Class 1A driving experience.
2+ years of heavy equipment operation experience.
Willingness to travel and work on the road.
Demonstrates practical judgment and a commitment to quality work.
Proficient and cautious in equipment operation.
Positive attitude and adaptable to changing circumstances.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting.

Nice To Haves

Off-road experience is a plus.
Mechanical aptitude is a plus.

Responsibilities

Navigate to and from job sites.
Assist in loading and removing scrap material.
Engage with customers and assess pre-work site conditions.
Ensure proper team logistics are communicated and followed.
Drive an 18-speed manual transmission semi-truck.
On-site material processing.
